Valuation Advisory is a specialist, ICAEW-regulated firm providing independent company and share valuations across the UK. We are a trading name of Litacc Limited (an ICAEW member firm, registered in England No. 10477611), with over 20 years’ valuation experience. We value businesses, shareholdings, share options and intangible assets for tax planning and HMRC, matrimonial and shareholder disputes, insurance claims, M&A and management buyouts, and financial reporting. We work for business owners, professional advisers, private equity firms and legal teams – delivering every valuation on a fixed fee, built to withstand scrutiny from HMRC, the courts or a commercial counterparty.

Our approach

Pragmatic, expert-led valuations

We are valuation specialists, not generalists. Every engagement is led by an experienced valuer, not delegated down – and because our team are business owners themselves, we understand the commercial reality behind the numbers, not just the theory. Our reports are clear and well-reasoned, setting out the methodology, assumptions and basis of value so they can be tested by HMRC, the courts or the other side and still stand up. We give an honest, independent view of value – never an advocate’s number.

How we work

Clear scope, fixed fee, fast turnaround

We scope each engagement up front and send a clear, fixed-fee proposal before any work starts – no open-ended hourly billing. We issue a standard questionnaire at engagement so we gather what we need efficiently, and we keep you and your advisers informed throughout. Most engagements complete in two to four weeks, with faster turnarounds possible where the matter demands it. You receive a clear, defensible deliverable – an advisory letter of up to 10 pages, or a full report of up to 30 pages – ready to stand up to whoever needs to see it.

Standards: We work to International Valuation Standards (IVS), UK tax legislation and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and to the relevant procedural rules for contentious matters, under the regulation of the ICAEW.

We are headquartered in Sale, Greater Manchester, with day offices in Manchester city centre, London (Canary Wharf) and Sheffield. All four offices cover all five practice areas, and we work with clients and instructing parties across the UK by appointment.
